Married since 1993, Jerrod and Shannon and their two boys, Ryan & Jason, live in the Newburgh area and are actively involved in their boy's life. It's very important to them that their boys stay invloved in a wide varity of activities from Boys Scouts, Sports, School activities, and the Church. Their boys have learned so many life lessons through team sports, such as great leadership skills, and have developed their moral character into something we are proud of as parents. So Far, Jerrod said "It's been great for Ryan & Jason, but I have enjoyed the time spent with my boys more anything."
Ryan and Jason are really into Boy Scouts. They are really committed in reaching the Eagle Scout rank. They both love the outdoors and look forward each year to spending a week at summer camp where they work on several merit badges. Jerrod says, "I spent two weeks straight sleeping in a tent this year. One week at Camp Ransburg on Lake Monroe for summer camp, and a week in West Virginia at the Troop's High Adventure. That was two weeks I will never forget. I was never a Boy Scout as a boy, but I am making up for that as an adult leader. There are days I feel like I'm 12 years old and then the next day I feel like I have have aged 20 years. Something about sleeping in a tent will do that to you."
Ryan and Jason are learning how to budget the money they raise through the the many fundraisers the troop has throughout the year. They have always been able raise enough money through their sales to pay for all of their activities in scouts. Jerrod and Shannon are very proud of their boys.
Shannon has been a stay at home mother since Ryan was born in 1993. Now that the boys are older, she has joined Jerrod on the Eagleson Team as the office manager. Jerrod calls her his promise keeper. Jerrod says, " Shannon has unbelieveable originizational skills and has learnd our computer systems in record time. She has even expanded our customer service by setting up our Customer Update System. Not being involved in real estate before, she has the ability to see things from the customers point of view, and our customer have really benefited as a result. Another great thing about having Shannon on our team, is that we get to be together."
Shannon says she has a whole new respect for Realtors. They wear so many different hats during each transaction and no two are alike. The real estate business has become very complex, and I am not sure how a single agent can handle it without a support team like we have here without sacrificing some services.
Jerrod has been in the real estate business since 1987. He learned Customer Service at an early age from his parents who owned a small business. " When I was 12 years old, I ask my father why he never advertised his business. He told me that he didn't have too. He said all he had to do was take good care of every customer as if they were family and they would give him all the business they would ever need. He was right, and they still don't advertise their business today. Thank you Mom & Dad, for demonstrating that for me every day." Jerrod worked and lived in the family business along with his three brothers until he went to college and was introduced to real estate. Jerrod applies this same kind of customer service in his real estate business today that he learned growing up in the family business
The Eagleson Team doesn't measure its success on how many millions they have sold. It means more to receive thank you letters and referrals from their customers. That should be the real measure of success for any business!
